Eight Special Lessons Hatim al-'Asham Seeks 30 Years

Already know that the search for legal science is mandatory, especially religious knowledge and the Shari'a that became the key to success and happiness in the world and the hereafter. The Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said:
طلب العلم فريضة على كل مسلم
"Seeking knowledge is essential for every Muslim" (Narrated by Ath-Thabrani)
It is really fortunate that people who are given the opportunity by Allah ta'ala to be able to learn and mengeyam religious education. But not everyone understands the right way and purpose in seeking knowledge.
Therefore, it is important for us to learn from the examples that our forefathers have inherited in the right way and in the search for knowledge. Among these are the examples narrated from a great scholar of his time. He is Hatim al-Asham, a disciple of Syaqiq al-Balkhi radliyallahu 'anhuma.
One day Syaqiq asked Hatim, "How long have you been with me?"
Hatim replied, "Thirty-three years."
"Then what have you learned from me all this time?" Syaqiq continued.
"Eight knowledge," Hatim replied.
"Inna lillahi wa inna divine raji'un. My age has run out with you but you have not learned except for eight problems, "said Syaqiq astonished.
"O my teacher, I have not studied other than the eight problems, and really I do not like to lie," Hatim assured.
"Convey the eight issues, so I hear them," said Syaqiq.
Hatim said, "I see all human beings. Then I see each of them loves her lover. He was with his lover until the grave. However, when he had reached the grave, then what he loved left him. So I made good deeds as my lover. So, when I entered the grave, my beloved entered the grave with me. "
"Good Hatim. Then what is the second? "Syaqiq replied.
Hatim continued, "I see the word of Allah azza wa jalla:
وأما من خاف مقام ربه ونهى النفس عن الهوى, فإن الجنة هي المأوى
"And As for those who fear the greatness of their Lord and refrain from their lustful desires. So verily the shelter is his dwelling. "(Surat an-Nazi'at: 40 - 41)
I am sure that Allah's word Subhanahu wa ta'ala is true. So I force my lust to reject the air (pleasure) until my lust is calm to obey Allah ta'ala. Thirdly, I see the whole of man. I see everyone who has something valuable and valuable, then he will lift and guard it. Then I saw the word of Allah azza wa jalla:
ما عندكم ينفد وما عند الله باق
"What is on your side will disappear, and what is with God is eternal." (Surat an-Nahl: 96)
So, every time I have something of value and worth, I am facing God to stay awake by His side. Fourth, I see all these people. I saw that each of them returned to treasure, the noble offspring, glory and nasab. I thought about it, it turned out to be nothing. Then I saw the word of Allah ta'ala:
إن أكرمكم عند الله أتقاكم إن الله عليم خبير
"Verily the most honorable among you by Allah is the most pious among you. Allah is the Knower, the Knower. "(Surat al-Hujurat: 13)
So I do good deeds hoping that I become a noble person with Allah. Fifth, actually I see all these humans. Some of them denounced some of the others, and some of them cursed some of the others. The cause of all this is malevolence. Then I saw the word of Allah azza wa jalla:
نحن قسمنا بينهم معيشتهم في الحياة الدنيا
"We have determined between them their livelihood in the life of the world." (Surah Az-Zukhruf: 32)
