President of Bangladesh Hope Indonesia Helps Rohingya Return Process

Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid called for Indonesian support to safely and securely return Rohingyas to the territory of Myanmar's Rakhine state.
This was conveyed by Hamid when he received the state visit of Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Bangabhaban Bangladesh on Saturday (27/1).
To President Jokowi, President Hamid mentioned that currently there are a million more Rohingya refugees living in some of Bangladesh's border regions. They were forced to move out of Myanmar because of the military operations of the army of Myanmar rampant in their villages. During this time, Bangladesh seeks to receive and entertain the Rohingya refugees well despite many challenges.
As quoted by Dhakatribune on Sunday (28/1), President Jokowi hopes that the agreement signed by the Government of Bangladesh and Myanmar about the repatriation of Rohingya refugees can be done well.
He also hopes the process of returning Rohingya refugees can run safely, dignified, and sustainable.
President Jokowi is planned to visit the Rohingya refugee camps this afternoon.
About 650,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled Rakhine State in western Myanmar in August last year after Burmese soldiers conducted military operations in the region. They fled to several border areas of Bangladesh.
