President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and entourage arrived at the Rohingya refugee camp in Jamt's Bazar, Bangladesh, on Sunday (28/1). They were welcomed by the Chairman of the Indonesia Humanitarian Alliance (IHA) or the Indonesian Humanitarian Alliance, M Ali Yusuf.
Ali said Jokowi greatly appreciated the activities of the IHA after hearing and seeing firsthand the IHA's distributed aid to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
The IHA started their activities in the Rohingya refugee camps in September last year. To this day, a wide range of humanitarian aid has been channeled by IHA to Rohingyas such as staple food, water pumps, shelters, medical aid at health camps, and so on.
"IHA thanks the President and entourage who have appreciated the IHA program," Ali told NU Online via short message on Monday (29/1).

The head of the Nahdlatul Ulama and Nahdlatul Ulama Disaster Management Agency (LPBI-NU) hopes that the Indonesian government can continue to support the programs launched by IHA so that the humanitarian aid of Indonesian people can be felt directly by people in various parts of the world.
"Hoping to continue the support of the Government of Indonesia to the role and contribution of humanity Indonesia is increasingly recognized and perceived benefits by all communities throughout the world that is being hit by humanitarian crisis," he explained.
According to Ali, Jokowi and entourage see firsthand the health service activities conducted by IHA medical team.
"President Joko Widodo visited and looked directly at the NU health camp and the Indonesian Humanitarian Alliance (IHA)," he said.
In his visit this time, President Jokowi was accompanied by First Lady and Iriana Jokowi, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Special Staff Coordinator of President Teten Masduki, Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh Rina Soemarno, and Chairman of Indonesia Humanitarian Alliance M Ali Yusuf.
